I was supposed to meet [name withheld] for a first date dinner. I had seen
his picture, we had spoken on the phone and agreed to meet at 7 p.m. Probably
around 7:10, I started feeling a bit paranoid and at 7:20, I called my
girlfriend to ask her how much longer I should wait. She told me to go in the
restaurant, order my food and if he didn't come by the time the order arrived to
request it to go. I walk in and, sure enough, I see him. Somehow we had missed
each other when we first arrived. He decided to get a table and I was waiting
around the corner in the lobby. He turned out to be a nice guy and we dated for
a few months.

Editor's note: That's why it's a great idea to have each other's cell
phones and decide on exactly where to meet, i.e. the bar, just inside the
entrance, etc.
